the air force and catch-22

In English class we talked about how different novels could be interpreted differently if it was another time or era. Of course, books stay the same but the world will always change and progress. Eventually replacing our opinion of old books overtime.
An example of this would be Catch-22. If you've read the highly-aclaimed book you'd find the dark incomprehensible reality that took place in the book. Right now if you read the book, you probably would've thought how bad the war was at the time and how the story was filled with dark humor.
But if the american air force read this, they would probably detest it, considering there are a number of hilariously stupid situations where the officers would act ridiculous. It would just give them a bad image, because of the stupidity of it all.
If you haven't read Catch-22. Read it. It's really really interesting.
